We picked this German helmet liner up in a recent lot, and it might prove useful to someone’s restoration project.  This is an original wartime liner that was reconditioned and reissued by the Norwegian military.  The chinstrap and draw string are not original, but everything else is.  In typical fashion for these Norwegian liners, it has been sprayed with the dreaded, red-brown dye or preservative.  It is a useful size however, made for a size 66 shell.  The leather is in good condition, albeit coated in postwar finish. The liner band is fine and should clean up.
