Strange story these are… I bought these from a contact in North Carolina, who had picked up these in a lot of other Soviet surplus at an auction in that state. The auction was the assets of a Kazakhstani  who operated a Persian rug gallery in that state.  He had been importing this as well as rugs and selling it at area flea markets.  I cut the strings on this bale… typical wartime construction variety.  Some may be marked with nondescript factory marks, none are dated.  Some bear the work of military stocks “preservation work”, also know as funky colored paint on the metal parts to keep the rust at bay.  We can honor preferences as best as we can,  if interested in any of these, please tell us the style you are wanting.  We’ll see what we can do at the time.  We have provided several photos of the styles and construction that can be expected.
