This Plasch-Palatka or Tent/Poncho is a little rough, but is interesting because it is a prewar, 1937 dated specimen. Plasch prior to 1940 are rather uncommon, so it is always nice to find an early one. Again, a little rough, but still presentable. This one is dirty and faded, with a few mouse holes and small tears. It is still holding together well and nicely suited for an equipment display. It has both drawstrings and is missing only one toggle. Often found on these early ones, the corner grommets are reinforced with leather and lots of factory stamps. This one is no exception. The stamps are mostly legible, but I have damped the fabric in the photos to make them more clear for photography. Well used, but interesting, prewar specimen.
