Here is a sharp set of the wartime era. They are probably civilian or private purchase in design, but the Anchor Optical Company did hold a wartime contract with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. In addition, the navy did utilize a “Light Duty” binocular set in this 7×35 configuration. Possibly these are contract binoculars. There is no case, but these binoculars have seen very little use and remain in top condition. There is some minor paint loss to the die cast lens rings on the large end, but the finish elsewhere looks almost brand new. The optics are clear and the focus adjustments are functional. The leather neck strap is soft and pliable. A nice set to complete your U.S. display, or take in the next live sporting event!
