Offered is this very presentable Ssh-39 helmet.  The helmet has had the shell carefully cleaned of surface rust at some point.  This has resulted in to some dull flatness to the factor paint.  However, the color remains very vibrant as result, and remains an excellent example of the factory color applied to these helmets.  This helmet is complete with the full liner of the final Ssh-39 type.  The chinstrap is the original factory chinstrap and is complete with the unpainted metal termination.  The long side of the chinstrap has been period short end or repaired near the attachment bail.  It remains a very strong repair or modification.  There is some heavy rust to the chinstrap rivets, which is not uncommon.  Likewise, the brads that attach the liner cloth to the liner band exhibit some rust as well and one is missing as result.  The liner cloth remains firmly attached to the band.  The shell size is  a 2, and the liner size is 56.  The skirt retains the LMZ factory stamp, but the shell cleaning has left this faded.  However all the information therein is determinable, and this includes the size, the LMZ factory ID and the date of 1941.   In all, a very respectable helmet of a type that keeps getting more difficult to source.
