The 2019 MAX Show was a bit anti-climactic for Sean and I.  However, we did manage to find one great helmet to pass on.  Offered is this Luftschutz reissued, Soviet Ssh-39 helmet.  Typically, we pass on these, but this specimen has a lot going for it.  In terms of factory condition, this helmet is all original.  The liner, chinstrap, and liner drawstring are the original Soviet applications.  The Luftschutz decal is mostly intact, and there is just enough paint loss to demonstrate the original Soviet factory green showing through.  Also visible through the Luft blue is the presence of the original, factory applied red star insignia.  Best of all, this helmet has a complete liner, of the early Kirza made, finger type.  An early made Ssh-39 impressed into German service.
