Offered is this interesting Heer camouflage helmet.  This ET66 helmet is a single decal M40 that has received a heavy textured field gray over paint and then two additional camo tones to the shell, those being a pale green and a red brown. The decal was painted around with the texture, but colored over in the end.  It now shows some nice crazing of the surface.  It has not been scratched out.  The liner is intact, with no damaged fingers, and a nice amount age to it without decay. The liner is complete with its drawstring.  This chinstrap appears to be the original piece, and is an earlier one with aluminum hardware.  As some time, it has split in the middle of the long side.  There is a skillful repair which can be seen in the photos, but it appears to be quite old.  A very nice combat lid with a great look.
